Scholarships

S.P.A.C.E. provides financial aid scholarships for gifted students demonstrating financial need. Those wishing to obtain financial aid must attend the scholarship audition, which takes place every summer in August. Students are selected based on their talent, technique, potential, and commitment. Determinations are made on a case by case basis and only a limited number of scholarships are offered per year. 

Scholarships are awarded for up to one academic year.  Continuing students should apply for the program end of each academic year in May.  Applications are not accepted after May 31st. The scholarship committee evaluates  applications depending on students performance, attendance and behavior.  Students are expected to attend all classes and private lessons.  Only one   class or lesson absence is accepted  each term for music students. If the classes and lessons are on the same day, it is considered as one absence. Dance students are required to make a make-up class in the same week of  class absence. More than one absence may result in lost of the scholarship. In case of illness or serious injury, students are required to bring a medical report to continue the scholarship program.  Requests for medical credit must be made in writing and accompanied by a physician's certificate stating inability to continue classes.  

Cancellation

Students should call the office or instructor at least 24 hours before the lesson/class.  After 24 hours make up lesson will not be offered. (No exception)

Accepted applicants or parents/guardians should sign the agreement during the official registration period.
