Ballet - is the absolute classic form of dance that builds grace, beauty, poise, and strength. Ballet develops correct body placement, enriches mental and physical dexterity, and enhances a sense of artistry in children and adults. All levels of technique from beginning to advanced are offered. In addition, pointe, and partnering are offered.
Dancers en pointe in levels Ballet II and higher are required to take a minimum of two ballet classes a week. Students must be invited by a faculty member to begin pre-pointe training. Private coaching is available for all levels.

Ballet Variations - introduces advance ballet students to the famous choreography of ballets such as Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty, and Giselle, etc. Students will gain knowledge of many famous ballets while learning to perform challenging variations. This class builds strength, poise and awareness of the true aspects of performance.
Character Dance - is defined as all of those qualities not present in classical dance. It consists of: National Dance – Dramatic and Lyric Character – Satire – Grotesque and Eccentric Mimicry. Taught in heeled shoe for women and oxford type shoe for men, character dance approaches work from a broad view of the acting dancer. It prepares the students for playing the part of a character very different from themselves.
Tap - is a unique form of dance loved by both young and old alike. An art appreciated throughout the world, participants enjoy learning astonishing footwork and unique skills. Many just practice tap for the love and fun of it, while others learn skills needed for perfecting and performing in numerous different arenas.
Modern - is drastically different from ballet. In this class dancers will explore how to bend, curve, twist and what their relationship is to gravity as they dance. By studying modern dance, whether you're a full-time dancer or a recreational one, you'll have the opportunity to express many new ways to move.
Jazz/Lyrical - These classes present a range of the most current styles in the dance world today that combine fun music and current dance trends to create a free style of technique and movement. While all classes will be based on a strong foundation of ballet they will also take your technique to a new level, bringing variety, dynamics, and style. Special attention is given to provide an atmosphere appropriate for all students.
Hip Hop - is a very popular new style of dance. Jam-packed full of energy and fun! It is similar to the style of dance that is seen in music videos. Our instructors choose their music very carefully for lyrics that are acceptable to general audiences and also keep the moves age-appropriate.

Musical Theater - combines the use of basic steps from jazz and tap into perform precision numbers, kick lines and dance using props.
Stretch & Strengthening - is a strengthening and stretch class, focusing on flexibility and the development of proper muscles. This is a great addition to anyone's schedule, providing for a great work out while significantly advancing one's technique.

Yogilates - This class will progress from Pilate's core-body mat work right into the fluid postures of Yoga. Focusing on breath and alignment, you'll increase strength, balance and flexibility. Enjoy a muscle toning workout while relieving stress.
Jazz Pilates - Warm up with Pilate's exercises, focusing on alignment, breathing and form. Then, we'll enjoy the fluidity of Jazz dance. This class includes a blend of total-body muscle toning, body consciousness, feminine power and dance energy.

Pre-Dance I (Ages 3-4); PD II (5-6); PD III (6-8) - at S.P.A.C.E, we are aware of the importance of a child's first experience in dance, and are committed to providing quality instruction for young children. These classes will include instruction on the fundamentals of ballet, tap, and tumbling, while set in a fun and nurturing environment. In addition, children will be gaining self-esteem while working on coordination skills, strength, rhythm, creativity, and body awareness.

All Boys' Dance (Ages 4-8) - classes are developed to use basic dance steps from jazz and combine them with locomotion movements such as running, hopping, skipping and jumping to help boys with their basic coordination. Taught by a professional educator, this class is sure to be fun and useful to boys.
